Hasbro’s Star Wars product line continues to grow with the addition of the Hyper Real series. This expansion of the well established The Black Series introduces iconic Star Wars characters in an all-new eight inch scale, with The Empire Strikes Back Darth Vader being the first character introduced. The Hyper Real collection promises accurate sculpt detail, premium soft goods and materials, all supported by a metal die cast armature for solid articulation.

For our collaboration, Hasbro provided the figure before the official release so I could take shots with the figure and share my thoughts about the product line. With the Hyper Real being 2” larger than the standard 6” Black Series line, shooting it required a little creativity to get the scale right. I used a technique called “forced perspective” to seamlessly incorporate figures from both scales within one shot - It was a welcomed challenge.

I enjoyed taking medium and close-up shots of Vader to feature the screen-accurate sculpt as well as all of the other details that make this Hasbro’s premium Black Series line.
