Megatron Cover Recreation - New York Comic Con 2019

For the 2019 New York Comic Con, Blue Fin reached out for another collaboration to help promote the Flame Toys Megatron IDW Autobot Version model kit. The assignment was take the cover art (by Nick Roche) used for Transformers Lost Light issue 2, and replace the illustrated Megatron with a toy photo of the Flame Toys Furai 06 model kit. This assignment was a nice change of pace as it required a lot of photoshop compositing. To help blend the photo into the illustration, I added a lot of halftone shading, which help to enhance the comic aesthetic.
